How do YOU choose a church? This tweet from Scotty Smith made me think yesterday.
Don't choose a church family based on who's there, unless the Who is Jesus. Choose a "first love" church, not a "first buzz" church.

I know what I look for in a church, though I’ve not looked for a long time since I’ve been at my church for over 13 years now. I look for the presence of God, healthy relationships and families, solid theology, and integrity and humility in the leaders (and vibrant worship helps too).
But, what do you look for?

I think you pretty much summed it up for me!! though…the vibrant worship wouldn’t be in parenthesis for me…that’s very important also. ;-)
Ahhh yes! Worship is very important for me too. Actually, the only reason I put it in parenthesis is because I’ve seen it so often equated to a musical style.
Here’s a little more about how I understand worship.
